Goals (a list of sorts) for the New Year Ahead

It's a new year - I figured it was a good time to put some things down in writing that I can and want to accomplish during the next 364 days. I figured I would share it with the world so that it will be more genuine and who knows, maybe it will even be inspirational to others to make a similar type of "list".
One thing that I must remember, even if I do not accomplish ALL of these things by years' end, I will be proud of what I DO accomplish and leave the rest to the following year!


Things I would like to Accomplish in 2009 (By PurpleGurl)

(in no particular order)

Health Items

Get back in shape – be the size that I was (or smaller) when I left Florida in July of 2007

Certification in RPM or Body Combat, and teaching classes

Teach one more BP Class a week

4 Days of Cardio a week

Better eating habits

Continue to work on treating myself better

Cut down drinking alcohol to one or two times a week

Be able to jog Cheeseman Park and or Wash Park in its entirety

Work on my patience with myself and others


Education/Travel Items

Learn Portuguese

Get My Passport

Travel to a foreign country

Canada Trip

Go to at least 3 states that I have not yet been to

Oregon, Washington and Vancouver Trip

Take a class on Public Relations & Promotions


Colorado Based Things

Denver Aquarium, Denver Art Museum and Denver Zoo

A weekend away in a mountain cabin w/Snowmobiling

Try Snowboarding

Hike at Boulder Falls, Seven Falls and Chautauqua Parks

Garden of the Gods and Royal Gorge Bridge

Central City, Blackhawk, Breckenridge

Estes Park area hikes

Business/Money Things

Save at least $25 - $50 per pay period

Work for myself doing what I love and be able to live comfortably by this time next year

Spend less money on frivolous items

Keep all bills current, or paid early (Stick to budget)


General Things

Go through clothing and other personal items once a month and get rid of at least 2 to 3 items that are not being used

Reduce clutter

Spend less time on computer/cell phone, more time outdoors or doing healthier things (especially in warm weather)

Donate something useful /needed to a shelter or another local cause at least two times this year

Read more books

Keep better track of friend/family dates of importance
